Gorilla trekking, only available in Rwanda and Uganda, requires a Gorilla Permit to be purchased. This permit allows travellers to trek Mountain Gorillas in three specific habitats โ€“ Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP) in southwestern Uganda, Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. With only a limited number of Gorilla Permits issued on a daily basis, travellers are encouraged to book their Gorilla Permits early in their African adventure travel planning. Uganda permits, issued through the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) are highly competitive and currently cost US$700.
